Make it yours: rewriting the wheel of life

Have you ever seen the classic Wheel of Life? (I actually have a blog post all about it...) It's a fabulous coaching tool. designed to help you notice how you feel about different parts of your life, and where a small change could make a big difference.


It has neat segments like career, health, relationships and finance, and it can be the perfect starting point when you're feeling a little stuck - but here’s the thing: your life doesn’t have to fit into someone else’s categories.


What if something else matters more to you than career right now? What if creativity, nature or new challenges deserve their own space on your wheel? You get to decide.


This version of the wheel is blank on purpose, so you can choose what’s important to you. Start by thinking about what truly supports your wellbeing, brings you joy and helps you feel grounded. Fill in your sections, then use your own scale to notice how well things are going in each area.


What surprises you? Where would you like to focus your attention? And what changes would you like to make?


And once you’ve spotted those changes—think ahead.


What might get in your way? How could you work around those blockers?


And - most importantly - what's the first step you'll take?
