When it comes to meditating, I need all the help I can get! Having something to focus on and being guided through a short practice makes a big difference for me.
In this lovely 5-minute practice - Bumble Bee Breath Meditation - we make a humming sound as we exhale. This has the added benefit of creating soothing vibrations that can help to release tension, quieten the mind and create a feeling of calm.
Here’s what you’ll need to get started:
Find a quiet space where you feel comfortable and won’t be disturbed
Sit in a position that feels natural for you - on a chair, a cushion or even lying down
Allow yourself a few moments to settle in, relax your shoulders and soften your face
I’ll guide you through the rest. All you need to do is listen and follow along. By the end of this short practice, I hope you’ll feel a little calmer and ready for the rest of the day.
