One of the things I love about yoga is that it can give me whatever I need at the time. If I want to get my blood pumping, feel stronger, or have a good stretch, I can always find the right sequence of poses.
At this time of year, when it's darker for longer than it is light and I'm fighting off coughs and colds that my family have brought into the house, I often turn to gentle yoga. This is yoga that nourishes and helps me to feel that I've done myself some good.
Here's a gentle sequence that's kind to body and perfect for a cold winter's day. Try holding each pose for 5 breaths or longer. And give yourself a few seconds between each pose to notice how you feel, and move slowly and mindfully into the next pose.
We all deserve to live a great life, but what great looks like changes over time and sometimes we find ourselves stuck living in a way that isn’t right for us anymore. I support women to live a happier life: through prioritising their wellbeing, doing more of what they love, and focusing on what really matters to them.
I offer yoga and coaching together, and separately. What would be a good fit for you?
